A. Account Information
When you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive certain information from your Google Profile, including your name, email address, and profile picture URL. This is used to create your VidiView account and identify you within the platform.
B. Google Drive Data (RESTRICTED ACCESS)
VidiView uses the drive.file scope. This means our application can only access files that:
- You specifically create within VidiView.
- You upload directly through the VidiView interface.
- You explicitly open or select using the Google Picker.
We do not have access to your broader Google Drive or any files not associated with VidiView.
3. Google API Limited Use Disclosure
VidiView’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our video review platform.
- Stream video content directly from your Google Drive for review purposes.
- Save and sync comments/feedback tied to specific timestamps in your videos.
- Send invitation emails to project collaborators and reviewers.
- Improve our services and user experience.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties.
We only share your data in the following limited circumstances:
- With your consent: When you explicitly invite a reviewer to see a project.
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (like Resend for emails and Prisma/Neon for database storage) to help us operate. These providers have limited access to your info only to perform these tasks on our behalf.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law to comply with a legal obligation or protect our rights.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information (name, email, project metadata) for as long as your account is active. Comments and metadata are stored in our secure database. Video files themselves remain on your Google Drive and are subject to your own Drive retention settings; VidiView only stores a reference ID to those files.
7. Security
We prioritize the security of your data. We use industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
